The property is surrounded by extensive grounds,  formal lawns, an orchard and vegetable garden. 

The  water garden, which overlooks the church, is on the site of the original village pond.

Most of these gardens are for guests to enjoy, although some parts are kept for the  private use of the owners.  There is also a secluded area for those staying in the Barn.
