The ancient village of Nonington is nestled within a valley on the edge of the North Downs. It is surrounded by gently rolling hills and farmland, a scene that is quintessentially the Garden of England. The village does still have a traditional pub (The Royal Oak) which is a ten-minute walk from Farthingales.
