The Barn at Farthingales offers a complete escape for short breaks in comfortably furnished 2-double-bedroom accommodation. The Barn is an Oak-framed detached former Cart Lodge, which is set well away from the Victorian shop and the timber framed house. As such it is secluded and private.
There is a large reception and open-plan kitchen area with exposed timbers to its full height. Both double bedrooms have en-suite facilities, one with large corner bath, the other with a shower. There is a also a mezzanine area above the main reception, which forms a secondary reception area with digital Freeview television and DVD. The bedrooms also have digital television.
An all-year sunroom with beamed ceiling, and floor-to- roof glazing overlooks the gardens. This room, in common with the rest of the Barn , has teraccotta-tiled flooring with underfloor heating.
Each room is divided into separate heating zones with its own thermostat control panel. This allows you to vary the temperature as you desire.
The kitchen is well-equipped with cooker, hob and microwave. There is a utility room with a washing machine and drying area and there is also a dishwasher.
The Barn can be let for one or more week-long breaks in summer and is also available for shorter breaks over the winter months. The rates are seasonal and a limited number of weeks can be booked directly through Farthingales (see Contacts).
The Barn can also be booked by visiting English Country Cottages
